Authentication

DSCC reads provider credentials from environment variables at launch. Each supported provider has its own key variable and an optional base-URL override. No credentials are written to disk unless you use OAuth.

Provider keys

Anthropic

Used by any claude-* model id.

xAI / Grok

Used by grok-* model ids.

DeepSeek

export DEEPSEEK_API_KEY="..."
export DEEPSEEK_BASE_URL="https://api.deepseek.com/v1"  # optional

Used by deepseek-* model ids.

Generic OpenAI-compatible

For any other provider speaking the OpenAI-compatible wire format (e.g. doubao/ARK, self-hosted vLLM, OpenAI itself):

Both DSCC_API_KEY and DSCC_BASE_URL are required when routing through the generic provider.

OAuth

For Anthropic, OAuth is an alternative to ANTHROPIC_API_KEY.

login starts the browser flow and stores the resulting tokens in DSCC’s local credential store; logout clears them.
